Make the Switch Electrical

Environmentally conscious electrical contractors on the Sunshine Coast. Web design and SEO for a growing local trade business.

The
Challenge.

Make the Switch are electrical contractors in Mount Coolum, a few streets from our office. Domestic, commercial and industrial work across the Sunshine Coast, solar alongside it, and a genuine commitment to energy efficient, sustainable installs that the old site barely mentioned.

The business was growing on word of mouth. Online it was close to invisible. The site did not say which work they wanted more of, it did not appear for electrician searches on the Coast, and someone with a tripped switchboard at seven in the evening had a phone number and nothing else.

Found by referral, not by search.

Electrician searches on the Sunshine Coast went to competitors. The old site had no service pages for Google to rank.

Three customers, one message.

A homeowner, a commercial fit-out and an industrial site each need a different conversation, and the site had one for all of them.

No way to book.

An urgent fault outside office hours had nowhere to go but voicemail.

Our
Approach.

We built the site around the three kinds of work: domestic, commercial and industrial, each with its own page written for the person booking it, with solar as the fourth. The sustainability angle moved from a footnote to the reason to choose them, because on the Coast that is a reason.

Online booking and a callback form sit on every page, so an urgent job can be logged at any hour and a planned one can be scheduled without a phone call.

Then the SEO work: service pages written around what Sunshine Coast customers actually type, local signals tidied up, and a steady programme of improvements rather than a one-off launch.

A page for each kind of work.

Domestic, commercial, industrial and solar, each written for the person who books it.

Book online, any hour.

Booking and callback on every page so urgent and planned work both have a route in.

Sustainability as the pitch.

Energy efficient, re-use and recycle, said up front rather than buried in the about page.

SEO done steadily.

Pages that answer local searches, improved month by month rather than launched and left.

The
Results.

Enquiries tripled within six months of launch, from a mix of search traffic and the easier booking path.

The site now does the first part of the sales conversation. A customer arrives knowing Make the Switch do the kind of work they need, that they care about doing it efficiently, and that they can book it now.

Three times the enquiries.

Within six months of launch.

Bookings without the phone.

Online booking takes the out-of-hours and planned work that used to go to voicemail.

A clearer business to buy from.

Four kinds of work, each explained, each with a reason to choose Make the Switch.
